im left handed and play right handed but that just makes life easier because all your finger work is in the left hand. Besides it a two handed instrument so i don’t understand why someone would need to switch anyway

Very nice, but it’s not a “three-quarter” scale, which would be 25.5 inches compared to the standard 34″ bass guitar; the Mustang Bass is “short scale”, which is 30 inches.

Early Fender models …
Early Fender models came with a “thumbrest” attached to the pickguard, below the strings. Contrary to its name, this was not used to rest the thumb, but to rest the fingers while using the thumb to pluck the strings. The thumbrest was moved above the strings in 1970s models and eliminated in the 1980s.

many basses in the early years of electric bass were created w/ this finger rest, it’s not a thumb rest. back then people actually plucked the strings w/ their thumbs! no joke.

i took it all apart and adjusted it..put it back together and still a buzz!!!
